The only restaurant in Flinders Park on Kangaroo Island Tasmania is the largest island in Australia, followed by Melville Island, Kangaroo Island is third, located in the Bass Strait, at the entrance of St Vincent Bay (Gulf St. Vincent), and Cape Jervis on the Fulauriyou Peninsula (Fleurieu Peninsula) is the closest to the mainland. Only 13 kilometers. South Australia's history begins on Kangaroo Island. In 1802, British explorer Matthew Flinders named the island "Kanguroo(sic)Island" after landing near the Dudley Peninsula (Dudley Peninsula) on the north shore of Kangaroo Island. South Australia was founded in 1836, but there were already settlements on Kangaroo Island in 1820. The plane arrived at Kingscott Airport in the northeast of Kangaroo Island in half an hour, and then drove an hour to Flinders Chase National Park in the southwest. There is only one restaurant in the caravan camp near the park to solve the lunch problem. There are not many options in the restaurant, but the burger tastes quite good. There is a small exhibition hall next to the restaurant, which shows various marsupial specimens in Australia. Kangaroo Island receives more than 140,000 tourists every year, and is one of South Australia's most famous tourist areas. A quarter of the island is designated as a national park and reserve. Hansen Bay Wildlife Refuge in the National Park is the place with the most wild koalas on Kangaroo Island. On the tree at the entrance of the restaurant, there are many wild koalas holding sloths. Some are with children. Some children don’t know what they are doing. Taking the top is looking at the world with the fourth eye, it is too funny. The visitor center of the reserve provides dining and accommodation. Hansen Bay Holiday Home (Hanson Bay Cabins) has one bedroom and two bedroom single-family villas with 360-degree invincible sea views. It is one of the best places to stay on the island. There is also one of the most luxurious hotels in Australia, the Southern Ocean Resort (Southern Ocean Lodge), at the southernmost end of Hansen Bay, 10 kilometers from the reserve.
